Is Portugal Becoming Anti-American? Portugal’s New Immigration Law Explained
Portugal just changed one of the biggest reasons people moved here… citizenship. For years, Portugal became one of the most attractive countries in Europe for expats, retirees, and digital nomads because of its relatively fast path to citizenship. But now Portugal has officially changed the law, increasing the timeline from 5 years to 10 years for most foreigners — and the REAL timeline could become even longer because of residency approval delays.
